My husband has three brothers, making four in total, a perfect team for a Team Branding.

(From L to R: Lee, Rich, Russ and CJ)
Lee, the oldest brother, was finally able to convince all four boys to meet up in Ely, NV for a Team Branding this past weekend.

It's rare for all four boys to have a chance to visit with each other at the same time. Lee and Shelley drove from NV. CJ, Jesse and their four munchkins came from Southern Utah. Russ and I, our two munchkins, Grandma Colleen and Rich all travelled in the third vehicle from our place.
Lee, at the start of their turn. Notice the sideways blowing wind and rain.
Rich on Grey. The picture doesn't do justice to the rain and wind he was roping in.
Lee and Rich waiting to brand a calf while CJ and Russ give roping a shot.
CJ on Igor and Russ roping on my 'BF' Yellar. What a handsome hubby!
My coolest ever sister-in-law roping. Shelley and Tel both roped on Saturday also. Shelley in the Mixed and Open. Tel in the Open. Shelley did so well she went home with a buckle! May have hurt the boys pride a little...But, they'll survive! :-)
Tel participated in the Team Branding for the first time. He has entered in tons of Rodeos and Team Roping's, but this was his first ever Team Branding. He caught both of his calves and did a wonderful job! We were so proud of him; Watching Tel rope was the highlight of the day! Thank you to the kind lady who roped with him and encouraged him through!

Sounds like everyone enjoyed themselves, looks like fun in the rain to me!!
ReplyDeleteGreat pics too by the way!! ;)
Huh, so ya'll just do the team branding? We have ranch rodeos, and we do branding, penning, doctoring, bronc riding, and wild cow milking.
