Panaca Rodeo

    This past Friday and Saturday we travelled to Panaca, Nevada for a small rodeo/fair.  We decided last weekend to go because Tel needs the experience and as an added benefit, Russ was able to visit with Swede.  Swede is an older gentleman who Russ worked for as a pickup man about fifteen years ago.  Swede has since retired from some of the bigger rodeos and the pro rodeos.  But, Swede loves the life so he still brings stock to smaller rodeos and quite a few in the Little Britches circuit.  It was really nice to visit with him while he's still able to travel out from Colorado.

    Russ & Tel entered in the team roping both nights.  Russ really doesn't enjoy team roping, or maybe he doesn't enjoy the crowd who come with team ropers, but he joined in for the Tel-Man.  On the second night Tel's buddy Talon roped with him.  It poured for 2 1/2 hours on Saturday evening and through their event.  The rain was awesome!

    Tanzee's cousin Shelby joined her on Saturday and they really enjoyed playing together, walking on the seats of my pickup with muddy boots and dancing in the rain!  I think they all thoroughly enjoyed themselves, even if we did ride home soaking, sopping wet!
