Sunday

Sunday is always so peaceful at the Jones homestead.

This morning we woke up to homemade 'Jonesman Toast' from Russ and Tanzee.  (Tanzee decided we weren't French, so we can't call our breakfast food of choice french-toast, hence she renamed it Jonesman Toast.  Only my child renames their toast!)

After breakfast we all lounged around until we almost made ourselves late to church.  But, we were saved by the bell and made it just in time.  I teach the Young Women and Russ teaches the 11 year olds in Primary.  I always join his class after mine is finished, because his class is a hoot and he has a set of quadruplets in his charge.  (Our cute neighbor kids, we love them to pieces!)

When the last bell rings, A-hem...prayer is said, we head home and change our clothes.  One problem, Sunday is a day of rest, but I'm always so rested that my body feels like I need to tackle a large project.  Hence, sometimes I break the Sabbath.  I hope the Lord understands, but this afternoon my kitchen just needed cleaned so bad!

In about fifteen minutes we will drive over to Grandma's house for dinner, popcorn and lies.  I say lies because the men always sit around and tell their 'Big Fish' stories.  Fun stories they are.

I struggled to decide what I should post on my blog this morning because it is Sunday, but I'm determined to post every day, as often as possible, because this is the only way I journal.

This is what I will tell you:

I am so thankful for Sunday.  I am so thankful for my husband.  I am so thankful for my children.  We hope to grow our family someday, but I also know I am so lucky to have what I have and be where I am.  I have a great family in Ohio.  I have a great family in Utah.  I have two sets of 'in-laws' and I love them both equally and feel loved back by all of them.  Very few people have the chance to enjoy a 'ready-made' family when they struggle with infertility.  I have a strong testimony and faith in Jesus Christ.  My testimony grows every day and with every struggle.  I know we all end up where we do for a reason, or I wouldn't have ended up in 'no-where utah'.  And, most importantly, I know family is the key to happiness in life.  However your family acts, however your family looks, however you ended up together - You are supposed to be together.  I love my family dearly, I love my children dearly, I love my home and the ranch dearly and I love the Lord dearly.

Isn't that just the cutest family you ever did see!?!

I hope everyone is having as good of a Sunday as we are!
